House Calls offers all the primary care services you would normally receive in your doctor's office:
House Calls doctors and nurse practitioners work in teams. The same team visits you regularly and knows you personally. The teams work Monday to Friday and the Nurse Practitioner will see you as often as is needed, for most patients this is about every other month.
House Calls cares for people who live in a wide variety of settings:
House Calls is available to residents of Jamaica Plain, Brookline, Brighton, Mission Hill, Roxbury, the Fenway, and surrounding areas of West Roxbury, Roslindale and Hyde Park.
A House Calls visit costs about the same as an office visit and is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and First Seniority insurance.
If you already have a doctor but can no longer get to the doctor's office, you can be a House Calls patient. The only requirement is that your doctor agrees to work collaboratively with House Calls team and see you when needed.
If you need to speak to your House Calls doctor/nurse practitioner team in an emergency, you can call us at Urban Medical House Calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is always someone ready to help you. If you need to go to the hospital, we would admit you to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and care for you there. If you need rehabilitation care, we can care for you in one of many facilities where we provide care.
House Calls provides high-quality, personalized, continuity of care for homebound people.
